Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
“Who in the world am I?” Ah, that’s the great puzzle.”
I saw a meme once that read, "The world outside you is only a reflection of the world inside you." Anytime I run across those words, my mind instantly thinks of Alice in Wonderland, of how Wonderland was her own unconscious mental creation, and of how disconnected and unaware of this reality Alice was at the beginning of her story; how autonomous her shadow aspects had become while left unmonitored in the dark recesses of her mind.
It is my belief that much like Alice, we must learn to unlearn the limiting beliefs that we have unconsciously accumulated so that we may relearn a new and empowering narrative that recognizes our repressed shadow aspects as the keys to gaining peace in the clarity that will afford us radical self-acceptance.
While no one's journey will be exact to another, I believe that it's important to note that much like Alice, we all have a purpose within this world, and we all have proverbial books to author that illustrate the story that we tell ourselves about ourselves.

“As traumatised children we always dreamed that someone would come and save us. We never dreamed that it would, in fact, be ourselves, as adults.”
